Trivandrum
The capital city of Kerala, where the magnificent Ananthapadmanabha Swami Temple situates, is also blessed with two famous Beaches Kovalam and Varkala. Munnar (Altitude 1700mts)
The Three mountain Streams, Kundala, Mudrapuzha and Nalla Thanni join together in a place, which is called Munnar (means the confluence of Three Rivers). This place is famous for a Shrub, which blooms once in 12 years (Neelakurinji), bathing the whole area in its blue color. The Endangered mountain goat Nilgiri Thar is also found in Rajamala area, which comes under Eravikulam National Park. Munnar was once the summer time residence of British Empire. Here British started the tea plantations in 1878. This place is aoristically famous for its breathtaking views and a perfect place for cycling, trekking, mountaineering, walking etc.
Cochin, (Kochi).
This is Kerala's most Cosmopolitan city, situated in the center of the state along the Arabian Sea, and the ancient maritime traders nick named it as the Queen of Arabian Sea. The Portuguese, the Dutch and the British dominated this area for many centuries consecutively as it was the centre of the lucrative spice trade.  Fort Cochin, the former European settlement area is dotted with many historic monuments such as the St.Francis Church (the oldest European Church in the commonwealth) the 500-year-old Dutch Palace, 500 year old Jewish Synagogue and the Jew town. Here one can visit the old Chinese fishing nets came from the court of Kublai Khan overlooking the Backwaters.
