Day 1. Arrive Chennai, Transfer to Hotel
Day 2. Chennai
Chennai is the fourth largest Metro in India and is the seat of Dravidian Culture. The city of Chennai is dotted with many colonial buildings and other monuments.In this tour you will visit Fort St.George (the Capital of French and British Presidencies) St.Marys Church, Marina beach,Santhom Cathedral
and Kapaleeswara Shiva Temple
Day3. Chennai-Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram-Pondicheri
 
Morning Visit temples (Vaikunda perumal, Kailasnath and Ekambareswar) of Kanchipuram and the world famous Silk Saree weaving Units. After Lunch at Kanchipuram visit the Pallava Rock Cut Temples at Mahabalipuram. This includes the five RATHAS, Arjunas Penance and Shore Temple. Here you can also
visit Stone Sculpture carving Units. Arrive Pondicherry and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 4. Pondicherry
Visit Arrowille, the monastery founded by the great Saint Arabindo. Walk through the Colonial French white mansions, churches, Government Buildings etc...
Day 5- Pondicaherry-Tanjore ( 180kms 5hrs)
After noon- Visit the famous Brihadeeswara (Big Temple) Temple by the Chola Kings. Also visit the Chola Bronze museum. Overnight Stay at Hotel
Day 6-Tanjore – Trichi – Tanjore ( Day return Trip)
Arrive Trichi and Visit the Famous Sreerangam Vishnu Temple, Rock fort temple and after lunch proceed for Tanjore.Arrive Tanjore and Over night at the hotel
Day 7 – Tanjore – Chettinad- Madurai (190 kms 6hrs)
Arrive Chettinad and visit chettinad palace and surrounding areas. After lunch proceed for Madurai. Checkin at Hotel and relax. By 9O’clock proceedfor Meenakshi Temple to witness the NIGHT CERMONIES. Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 8 – Madurai Sightseeings
Visit Meenakshi temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum and Flower market. Afternoon shopping Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 9 – Madurai – Periyar ( 145kms, 4hrs)
Enjoy the village scenes and reach periyar for lunch. Periyar is on the western Ghat Mountains and is 1500 meters above the sea level and is the eastern border of the state. It is protected forest with very rich and diversified flora and fauna. Though its called a tiger reserve here you mostlywitness elephants and a tiger
is only amatterof luck.Evening boating on the lake sanctuary. It is possible to see wild life from the safety of the boat Over night stay at Hotel
Day 10- Periyar-activities
Spice plantation visit, elephant ride in a plantation, Spice Shopping and Tribal village visit. Overnight at the hotel
Day 11-Periyar to Kumarakam (120km, 4hrs)
 
Breakfast and proceed to Kumarakam.Enroute Drop in at a tea factory on the way down to gather some idea about tea making and it is really interesting to look at the old English machineries Kumarakam is a paddy village on the flanks of the backwaters where one can experience the slow pace of the life. It used to be a
British residential place and has a nice bird sanctuary too.Overnight at Kumarakam Hotel.
Day12-House Boat
Enjoy the Sights of Aleppey Back waters; the Vembanad Lake the Largest backwater in Kerala, where you can experience the slow paced village activities, the lush green flora and the mouthwatering Cuisine
Day-13- Alleppy-Cochin(70 Km,1.5Hrs)
After Breakfast Disembark and proceed for Cochin. Enroute visit the famous St.Francis church, and the Chinese fishing nets in the fort Cochin area, which used to be the center of activities for all European powers in the early years of colonization. Also visit the Dutch palace, Jewish synagogue and the Jew
Street in the Mattanchery area, which was the spice auction centre. Enjoy your lunch and shopping afternoon.
Day 14 - Departure to Home
You will be picked up from the Hotel on time to the airport at Cochin, which is 40kms from the City.
